Officials from the ACC Barnstorming Tour have made an exciting announcement. UNC’s Iron 5 will be touring the state on a 4-stop tour. All events are limited to 200 fans who will be treated to a Q&A with the team members Caleb, RJ, Leaky,
Brady, Armando, Puff and Dontrez and an opportunity to obtain autographs and pics. All-American and fan favorite Phil Ford will be serving as host. As always, there is no guarantee that all of the players will be at every event.
Tour Director and head of Sumner Sports, Pet Sumner announced, “this team gave one of the most incredible runs in March Madness history. The press often referred to the run as ‘improbable’ yet victory after victory proved it was more than probable!”
According to Sumner, both COVID restrictions and the added eligibility year awarded athletes created some hurdles for the 2022 Barnstorming Tour. The Iron 5 events give fans an opportunity to show the players just how much they appreciated that “improbable” run! Ted A. Greve & Associates of Charlotte, Hickory and Gastonia will be sponsoring the autograph session which will wrap up the evening’s festivities.
For over 40 years, the ACC Barnstorming Tour has brought many college basketball legends into communities including Sidney Lowe, Len Bias, Michael Jordan, Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, Nolan Smith, Tyler Zeller, Grayson Allen and Luke Maye. The ACC Barnstorming Tour is sponsored and promoted by Sumner Sports, a division of The Sumner Group. For more information go to carolinabarnstorming.com or call Pet Sumner at 704-804-4771.
